Laura Lynn Newsome, 27, of Willits died late Saturday night in a head-on crash on Highway 101

I understand you were involved ?
Not "involved," exactly. We were the third vehicle on the scene after the accident happened; Willits PD and Ukiah Ambulance arrived a few minutes later. The crash was really ugly, and while there was mercifully not much bloodshed (the airbag was deployed, but she died of blunt-force trauma), David had the most disturbing first-time-for-everything experience of his life: he stepped down into the ditch to examine the victim and see if there was anything he could do, checked for a pulse, and realized she was gone.
He took the next day off.
Laura L Newsom was a dear freind of mine & i would like to know about what happend. She was born & raised in Romulus Michigan so it is hard for us back home here to get info on the accirent. I would personly like to say THANK YOU to David for trying to help. If anybody has anymore info please contact me. r.i.p Little Laura we love you

dish1Cristina, I would be greatfull for any info u can get me. What ever I can get I will be giving to Laura's mother. I've been trying to look up police reports but have been unsuccessfull. We want to know what happened. Was it just a freak thing, did she fall asleep, is there any pic's of the spot it happened or of the cars?
